Well-Beings: A Gathering to Explore Ways of Living Well Together w/ Guadalupe Arellanes, PhD

IN THE LECTURE ROOM

“Well-Beings” is a monthly gathering for existential souls and wandering minds to explore ways of living well together. Each month, we will share space for informal conversations prompted by philosophical thoughts and our own questions about society, values, truth, freedom, and existence.

No advance preparation or knowledge is required, unless stated in the meeting description. Light snacks will be provided.

On April 8th, there will be a special evening session with a guest participant looking at the topic of Free Will.

Come debate and discuss whether or not humans have free will and implications for how we think about political, economic, and social issues.

Special Guest: Ben Burgis is a Jacobin columnist, an adjunct philosophy professor, and the host of the YouTube show and podcast Give Them An Argument. He’s the author of several books, most recently Christopher Hitchens: What He Got Right, How He Went Wrong, and Why He Still Matters. He puts out a "Philosophy for the People" Substack every Sunday.
